5 Stars
We have been using the Max product for a couple of years and the regular Carpenter's for decades before that. Elmer's Carpenter is great but Max is even better. We had a huge problem years ago with Titebond and would never use it again. Elmer's Max is not available in gallons in the big-box store so we now buy it from Midland Hardware.

Best wood glue ever!
This is the best wood glue ever! Elmers Wood Max glue is made for exterior applications, but I use it exclusively for cabinets, moldings, shelves, everything. In my experience, it beats out Titebond I and II, although I have not tried it against Titebond III. I had run out of Titebond II, so I picked up the Elmers Wood Max at the first place I stopped (didn't have Titebond). I was gluing library shelves and messed up on my spacing. I had to take a couple of shelves apart after having been glued for about 1 hour. To my surprise, I destroyed the wood taking it apart! I later conducted a test with the Max and the II. The Max bond was definitely stronger after 2 hours elapsed. It wasn't a scientific test, but it was enough to satisfy me!
