I have installed a small but complete EDPM flat roof(ISO boards, fasteners, membrane, drip edge and cover tape) using yellow glue, black glue and cover tape primer. For this product, I was going over cover tape and membrane because the cover tape was lifting in many place (it was not properly rolled when installed). The cover tape on the roof that I did does not blister and it does not lift. I like that this product is thin giving the snow and ice less to grab onto as it slide off of the roof. I would have liked the option of buying a 9" wide roll. I cleaned the work areas with rubbing alcohol per Cofair's suggestion. It cleand and leaves no residue. I applied patches and up to 15' strips. I am right-handed and liked working from left to right. I cut the length that I wanted and laid it in the straight line that I wanted to achieve. The product tended to drift toward me but by by pulling the tape away from me as I went along, this problem was corrected. Conventional cover tape is quite rubbery and flexible. Even significant left and right adjustments with conventional cover tape are easy without causing creases. UltraBond is less rubbery - even small left and right adjustments cannot be made without causing creases so you just have to avoid drifting one way or another as described above. Use a sharp utility knife and straight-edge over a small piece of plywood for cuts. So, how well does the product perform? I won't know that until we get through this Winter. I would gladly have purchased a quart of primer if that were and easy option and it insured the best possible bond. Assuming the product holds extremely well, I will give it a 4 of 5.
