iGrill2
We bought the iGrill mini last year to monitor the temperature inside our bullet charcoal smoker and it did it's job well, but we realized we needed a probe (or two) in the meat as well, so we upgraded to the iGrill2, which allows up to 4 probes. It came with two, plus the one we had for the mini now gives us 3. We did our first cook this weekend, with one probe in the smoker, and the other in a pork shoulder we were smoking. WE LOVE THE IGRILL 2! It is definitely better than the mini: Once we put the probe in the meat, there was no reason to open the lid of the smoker (drastically reducing heat in the smoker) until it was time to wrap. The second time we had to open it was when we pulled the meat off the smoker. I also love that it has an LED readout right on it. With the mini, you have to have your phone nearby, which if you're working outside while you're smoking, you don't necessarily want to be carrying your smartphone on you. With the iGrill2, you can see at a glance how your BBQ is going. Also, it seems the Bluetooth range of the 2 is way farther than the mini. Definitely worth the upgrade from the iGrill mini.
