This internal coupling saved the day. The original PVC pipe was installed to short in the shower drain resulting in a leak that eventually ruined the shower curb. The coupler allowed me to extend the pipe to allow the gasket to seat properly. Since it was on a slab, the only other thing that I could think of was to remove the shower pan which would have run into hundreds of dollars. I ordered extra to have some on hand. Great product and worked perfectly. Thanks

Contractor
I was replacing a shower located in a basement. The 2 inch drain pipe was damaged in removing the old shower and I was left with a 2 inch pipe in the concrete about 2 inches below the surface. The 2 inch inside coupling was a lifesaver. The coupling was glued and inserted inside the 2 inch pipe. A 2 inch pipe was slid over the coupling at ground level to form the mating pipe with the shower drain. (Actually I elevated the shower about 6 inches since the drains were not lined up. They were off about 4 inches and I had to use two 2 inch elbows to move the drain over the required 4 inches. The new shower base was larger. The elevation was required to relocate the drain location.) The 2 inch inside coupling saved me from using an air hammer or a concrete drill to relocate the drain. Great!
